Grown-ish is an American teenage comedy-drama show that made its debut in the television industry in January 2018. The sitcom is a spin-off of Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross starrer ABC series Black-ish. The show has delivered two seasons so far and is currently airing its third season, whose episodes are dropped on a weekly basis. Season 3 Episode 9: Recap
The sixth season so far has dropped nine episodes, with the tenth one scheduled to go on air on 28 January 2021. When we last saw Zoey, she had left Cal U because she wanted to pursue a career in styling and fashion. While being a ‘college dropout’ is seen as a negative aspect, Zoey seems to have a good and enthralling time as we catch up with her on the sets of a music video scheduled, all the way in Miami. While she might be facing some difficulties, handling the people she’s assigned to style, and she is still making the best out of the journey, that is taking her on the path of turning her dreams into reality.

Even though being amidst the chaos of her crazy workplace, she still can’t resist thinking about Aaron. She recalls the moment when both of them shared a kiss. She wants to get back to him and start things with her handsome man the minute she lands up in L.A. After getting up all the courage to confess her feelings for Aaron, she drops a text for him. He quickly responds to her text, saying he’s ready for a hookup whenever she gets back. When Zoey gets back to Los Angles, she thinks of ditching a reunion with her girl’s crew and heads straight to his house. She runs into Aaron’s new girlfriend, and all her joy and excitement come to an end. His definition of ‘hook-up’ wasn’t the one the common phrase used casually in the 21st century. By ‘hooking up’, he meant to chat and tell her that he was already taken. Getting to know about this, Zoey runs out of the party.

Aaron finally catches up with Zoey and kind of exaggerates his emotions and expresses. He feels that he is done with Zoey playing with his heart, and he is in no mood to tolerate this behavior further. He is tired of letting Zoey walking in and order whenever she feels like it and throwing him on the side when she feels he isn’t required at the moment. So he decides to put an end to any future enlargements to the shop. Zoey, on hearing this, gets devastated and feels embarrassed for spending her last 24 hours thinking and focusing on her boy, who doesn’t feel the same about her. Aaron expresses the fact that it was tough for him to open up to her, but more than that, it might be tough for Zoey to process the ‘hook up’ reference he used in his text.
