Peaky Blinders is a work of Steven Knight. As a kid, Knight’s dad told him the story of a few unruly and dangerous that inspired him. It was a story of some very powerful and beautifully dressed gangsters that he found most interesting. Being brought up in the age where Gangsters ruled both the cinema and streets, Knight painted a vivid picture. Season 6 of Peaky Blinders is one season short of the originally planned 7 season show.
The Show, as a cinematic piece, has a lot to offer to a varied range of viewers. From having a massive arsenal of iconic actors beautiful screenplay to some of the best dialogue writing. The show simply has it all, and most importantly, it has been very consistent with the quality of cinema.

Peaky Blinders Plot
The show is set in early 1900s and revolves around the tumultuous lives of an Irish-Romani gangster family. Even though fictionalized, the story has its roots in true historic events. The show deal
s with crime and drama as the main theme throughout from season 1 to season 6, though subtle undertones of mystery and romance are embedded quite articulately as well.
Taking place in a distressed land after The Great War or World War I, the economy was dire, and people were hopeless. Every day was a struggle, a fight to the death with fate. In the middle of turmoil or perhaps as a result of it emerged a gang called Peaky blinders. The unusual name they got notoriously due to arming rim of their hats with blade and using it as a weapon. The Thomas Shelby lead gang gained fame and became a force to be reckoned with. With territorial disputes, the peaky blinders were thrown into battle time and time again. The enemies each time getting more and more fierce with fangs sharper than the last.
Having roots in the gypsy family, the Shelbys were a superstitious bunch which can be seen till the very last episode, where Thomas sees vision of Ruby stopping him from committing suicide. The very first episode of the franchise sets it up very nicely when Thomas takes his horse to perform a ritual of some sort to guarantee his win.
From gangs, mafia, conflict against state bodies to mystery, romance, family conflict, and politics, the show has maintained a very long list of subtle undertones since the very first episode.

Peaky Blinders Season 6 Ending Explained
Season 6 picks right up where we were left hanging on the edge of our seats in season 5.
The utter defeat Thomas was handed over at the end of season 5 kept lingering6 on new wounds while the old festered. The main theme for this season can be summed be as Loss. A loss of materialistic possession, a loss of identity, a loss of respect, and a loss of people. The other substantial theme that can also be observed is Time or a lack thereof, the mortality of people and their belongings is reminded to us over and over again like a punch to the gut.
After seemingly having covered all the loose ends with Michael, Captain Swing, and Billy Grade dead, Thomas leaves the Shelby family to die alone as till this point, with the hallucinations and physical distress, his conscience was taxing a heavy toll on him. He’s a complete mess, and in the dying moments, while he was staring at a bullet with his name Ruby comes to his aid. Asking him to light the fire, Ruby very well cures Thomas of the only limitation he had, his disease was nothing but an elaborate scheme to make him lose his desire to live altogether. As Dr. Holford turns out to be an accomplice of Oswald Mosley, gave him the wrong diagnosis of Tuberculosis, it also paints a new picture of Thomas Shelby of how much of a threat he exactly is to for his enemies.
The curtain calls to Thomas Shelby being cured of his mortal disease but the guilt is still eating him alive. He’s left to face all his inner demons again, all very alone like it was in the beginning. The only thing that’s changed now is the weight of his heavy conscience that he’s bound to carry till he kills himself. It is almost certainly set in stone that no fate nor a foe can end Thomas’ life.
What to expect now?
The show originally was planned for 7 seasons, and yet this was the season finale. The unfinished business with Jack Nelson and Mosley Oswald, as well as introduction of Duke Shelby this late in the arc, are the loose ends that need to be addressed. And that’s exactly what we can expect to happen as when Thomas Shelby returns to tie up loose ends in a Peaky Blinders film which is expected to release in 2024.
