She is left to raise her two children all alone. In order to feed her children, she starts working for a stagecoach where she comes to know about the fierce gunfighter Conn Conagher. However, on her encounter with him, she happens to grow fond of him. While Conagher reciprocates the same, he chases tumbleweeds for the anonymous poems that are tied to them. In the end, he comes to know that the anonymous writer was none other than Evie. Amidst all the adventure and fighting scenes as the story concludes, we witness the most awaited kiss. The romance playoff almost took the whole film, but it was worth it in the end.
Cast and Crew Details
Sam Elliot was the executive producer as well as starred in the American western film. Barry Corbin portrayed the character of Charlie McCloud, the stage driver, while Sam Elliot himself played the protagonist Conn Conagher. Elliot won a few nominations for his portrayal at the Golden Globe awards. Nevertheless, Barry Corbin won the Western Heritage award from the National Cowboy Hall of Fame for his performance in the Television film. Katherine Ross, who is Elliot’s wife, played the character of Mrs. Evie Teale, while Gavan O’Herlihy played Cris Mahler the Cowboy.
