It is happening, Beyhive’s!!! If you knew that, I would not have had to explain the meaning of this name. This is what Queen B’s fans call themselves. So, let’s get to the fantastic news we have been waiting for! Beyonce is dropping her latest album, and we cannot keep calm; neither can you after hearing this. On Wednesday night on June 15, Beyonce revealed that her much-awaited and highly anticipated seventh studio album is coming this year on July 29. The title of the much-awaited album is “Renaissance.”
Announcement of the album
The announcement was made on social media after fans grew suspicious when the singer removed the profile pictures from her social media handles, indicating that something huge was coming. Later her social media handle bio is changed to promote her album; her bio now reads “act I RENAISSANCE 7.29.”
The music streaming platform that represents Beyonce and is co-owned by the singer and her husband Jay-Z shared the title and release date of the album on the social media platform. Also, to further upgrade their marketing strategy, a box set of “Renaissance” merchandise is now available on Beyonce’s website for pre-order. The box contains a CD, a T-shirt and a booklet of 28-page.
The album is exceptional for both Beyonce, and her fans as the last studio album that the singer released were six years back, “Lemonade.” The album was nominated for nine Grammy Awards, including a song (Formation), record (Formation), and album of the year title.
Also, in 2020, “Lemonade” was ranked No. 32 on the list of 500 best albums by Rolling Stone.
Early works of Beyonce
It took her six long years to make a comeback again with her studio album; for the past years, she has been involved with a lot of different projects. In the year 2018, the singer was busy headlining Coachella, and the same year she had a Grammy-winning Netflix documentary “Homecoming” about it. In 2019, she starred as Nala in Disney’s “Lion King” remake and recorded an entire tandem album. The album included the Golden Globe-nominated song “Spirit.”
In 2020 the singer co-directed, and executive produced the “Black Is King” for her “Lion King” album, which was her illustrated version. And in 2021, she became the most Grammy-winning female artist of all time with her hit single “Black Parade,” for which she won the R&B performance.
In 2022, the diva opened the Oscars with her live performance of her song “Be Alive” from the movie “King Richard.”
Buzz in media
The singer is undoubtedly very excited about her new release, so before her album debut, she will grace the July cover of British Vogue. In the fashion magazine interview, the singer said that creating something has been lengthy, and the pandemic has given her a new perspective and time to rethink her decisions.
Since the album dropped, the Beyhive have been talking about it nonstop on every platform. And people are going crazy over the merchandise box, and some are even pre-ordering it without knowing what’s inside. Well, that’s what we call the power of Queen B!
