What Happened To Jeffrey Dahmer? Everything We Know About His Crimes & Death

One of America’s most notorious serial killers, Jeffrey Dahmer, grew up in a middle-class suburb of Akron, Bath Township, Ohio. Much has been written about his childhood tendencies, including instances of animal cruelty, but on the outside, at least, he seemed like a normal kid and was perceived by his colleagues as quiet and polite.

At the time of his arrest, he worked at a chocolate factory in Milwaukee and lived alone in a small apartment where he had only one bedroom. On July 22, 1991, the Dahmer home was raided after a young man fled his home and was stopped by a police car. An investigation found that the apartment contained the bodies of 11 young men.

Most were black, Hispanic, or Asian. The body had been dismembered, and Dahmer confessed to cooking and eating parts of the body. He would meet potential victims in bars, shopping malls, and adult bookstores and invite them to his apartment in exchange for money or beer. He then drugged beer and, once the victim was unconscious, strangled him and dismembered his body.

Dahmer’s victims ranged from when he was 14 to when he was 33. On February 15, 1992, Dahmer was found guilty of 15 counts of murder in Wisconsin. He was then convicted of another murder in his hometown of Ohio.

What Happened To Jeffrey Dahmer?

Jeffrey Dahmer, one of the most famous serial killers in U.S. history, was a notorious killer whose horrific crimes gained him the alias the Milwaukee Cannibal. Between 1978 and 1991, Dahmer killed at least 17 men throughout Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After drugging, torturing, and murdering his 14-year-old victim, he used their bodies for sexual acts, ate their bodies, and kept parts of their bodies in his home.

The killer’s crimes are exposed when the potential victim, 32-year-old Tracy Edwards, flees Dahmer’s apartment. Edwards said he went to Dahmer’s house after Dahmer offered him $100 for a pose in a nude picture, but he became suspicious as soon as he entered the room, accusing a plastic drum in the corner of the bedroom he smelled a foul odor that seemed to be coming.

Despite Dahmer hitting him with a knife, Edwards managed to escape from the apartment, ran into the street, was stopped by two police officers, and returned with them to Dahmer’s apartment. They arrested him after finding in a drawer a collection of Polaroids showing numerous human bodies in various stages of amputation.

What Was The Exact Reason For Jeffrey Dahmer’s Death?

Christopher Scarver was the guy who eventually became the fellow inmate of Jeffrey Dahmer. On November 28, 1994, Jeffrey was beaten to death by him, and later, both were incarcerated at the Columbia Correctional Facility, which was located in Wisconsin. In the year 1853, the state named Wisconsin was the first state to abolish the death penalty. Generally, Jeffrey did not receive any penalty of death. Scarver, who is serving a 25-year sentence for armed robbery turned murder, arrived in prison in 1992 at about the same time as Dahmer.

At approximately 8:10 AM, Dahmer was found on the bathroom floor with a severe head injury after being smashed with a metal bar and having his head smashed against a wall. He was pronounced dead at the hospital an hour after him. The same weapon was also used to kill Anderson, who died of his injuries two days later.

Why Did Christopher Scarver Kill Jeffrey Dahmer?

Upon returning to his cell, Scarver reportedly told the guards, “God commanded me to do… Jesse Anderson and Jeffrey Dahmer are dead.” he was reportedly taking antipsychotics. The publication said, “Both Mr. Dahmer and Mr. Anderson were white, and their crimes affected race relations in Milwaukee. Most of Mr. Dahmer’s victims were black or Hispanic.

His wife Anderson said the crime was perpetrated by two black men, who reportedly previously claimed to be victims of racism and served an initial life sentence. After the sentencing, he was quoted as saying, “It’s not fair what white people do to black people.” Murder of Dahmer and Anderson.

He was deemed ineligible for parole. Christopher Scarver currently resides at Centennial Correctional Facility in Colorado. In 2004, he filed a civil rights lawsuit against officials of the Wisconsin Secure Program Facility for the brutal treatment of Dahmer after his death that allegedly violated his constitutional rights. However, both the lawsuit and subsequent appeals ended in Scarver’s favor.
