Daniel McKenna is a very famous fitness trainer who has a very unique style of giving training to his clients. He was born in the beautiful country of Ireland. He currently belongs to Irish citizenship and was born on April 3, 1987. Given his birth year, he is 35 years of age as of now.
He was always fascinated by fitness and the fitness industry as well. That’s why he took the decision of becoming a fitness trainer just after finishing his education. But fitness is not the only thing he cherishes the most. Even before he became a professional fitness trainer, he was involved in various sporting activities, which included football.
Daniel McKenna is one of the few fitness trainers in the industry who has got so many certifications and achievements that most trainers are not even qualified to obtain. He is one of the most recognized NASM-certified trainers in the fitness industry. He also has many other certifications, which include:
- Level 1 USAW Olympic certification
- NASM Certified
- StrongFirst Level 1 and 2 Kettlebell certified
- TRX certified
- Daniel McKenna Peloton instructor
It is very clear that fitness is the most important thing in his life. Otherwise, it would be very difficult for him to obtain all the certifications. Also, he has a very charming and welcoming nature towards his clients, which can’t be maintained by anyone for such a long time if they did not like the work they are doing right now.
But everyone needs a break, and Daniel likes to enjoy his free time by clicking some photos on his camera. He even has his own website where he showcases his captured images and he also sells them in physical print forms. Although it is a good business for him to generate more revenue, Daniel thinks that it works like therapy for him.
Why did Peloton Fired Daniel McKenna?
Peloton is a very big media and exercise equipment company based in America. The company hires many fitness trainers and instructors to make fitness content for the company. They were pretty impressed by Daniel’s portfolio and certifications. They decided to bring him on board, and Daniel also agreed to the proposal. He joined Peloton on the month of December 2020.
But the relationship between Daniel and Peleton was never very smooth. There were many differences between the two parties and it lead them both to have a certain amount of disagreement till the month of September 2022.
The month of September turned out to be the ultimate month of the relationship between Daniel and Peleton. Daniel was called for a Zoom meeting on September 12 and the representatives of the company told him that he was fired from the company with immediate effect. They also offered a severance package of six months for $130,000.
But Daniel rejected the offer and continued to sue the company. From his point of view, he feels that he was the victim of discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. He then continued to sue the company for almost $2 Million.
He is suing the company for $500,000 for pre and post-judgment interest, back pay and front pay, and benefits. He is also asking the company for $1 million as punitive damages and for $300,000 as compensatory damages.
It is still unclear which of the either is right and which party will win the case. But it is certain that Daniel has got a lot of support from his fans and followers. There are many posts on social media that clear that he is having the full support of his fans and well-wishers.
