After a tumultuous seven-year divorce and custody battle with Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt has reportedly succeeded in mending his relationships with five of his children. However, one child remains unwilling to reconnect.
An insider recently spoke to InTouch Weekly, revealing that the iconic movie star has invested significant time and effort in personal growth since his split from Jolie. The source stated, “He’s turned a corner in what he wants and is living a whole new life,” emphasizing, “He’s finally putting his well-being and his family first.”
Pitt spends the most time with his daughters Shiloh (17) and Vivian (15), as well as Vivian’s twin brother Knox. These three teenagers maintain regular contact with their father, with the source disclosing, “He’s on good terms with them.” The insider added, “He lost a lot of precious time with them during the custody battle, and he’s determined not to miss anymore.”
While the Fight Club actor is also reportedly on speaking terms with Pax (19) and Zahara (18), his eldest son, Maddox, remains uninterested in repairing their relationship. Maddox, who is 22 years old, was allegedly directly involved in the 2016 private jet altercation that led to the end of Pitt and Jolie’s marriage. The implication is that the impact of this reportedly violent conflict is why Maddox isn’t interested in re-establishing a connection with Pitt.
Regarding the entertainment multi-talent, the source shared, “He acknowledged his drinking was a problem, and he’s truly sorry for his part in the split. He loves Maddox dearly, and even though they’re still estranged, Brad will always hold out hope for reconciliation.”
While we always hope to see families work through trauma to achieve a healthier bond, it’s essential to recognize and respect personal boundaries, especially when trust has been severely tested.
