According to law enforcement officials, Wylie’s visit to Target took a nefarious turn when store security noticed him selecting health and beauty products. Suspicion arose when he proceeded to the self-checkout area and appeared to only scan a portion of the items in his cart. This raised red flags, as it was perceived as an attempt to evade paying for the concealed merchandise.
Subsequently, the vigilant Target security team decided to confront Wylie outside the store premises. They escorted him back into the store, suspecting that he had committed shoplifting. The total value of the items he was accused of pilfering amounted to $108.05, a seemingly minor but unlawful act nonetheless.

Upon their arrival at the scene, officers from the Burbank Police Department issued Wylie a citation for petty theft. After the citation process, he was released from custody and allowed to leave the premises.
