Jeremy Renner’s appreciation for life has deepened after his recent near-fatal snowplow accident on January 1st. The actor took to Instagram on Monday to share an emotional message, shedding light on his extensive efforts to aid his recovery.
In the heartfelt Instagram post, Renner expressed his commitment to recovery, detailing his journey since January 14th. He has immersed himself in a wide range of therapies, dedicating countless hours to physical therapy, peptide injections, IV drips, stem cell and exosome treatments, red light/IR therapy, hyperbaric chamber sessions at 2.0 atmospheres, cold plunges, and more.
The 52-year-old Avengers: Endgame star emphasized that the most vital therapy he’s undergone is the one that takes place in his mind, along with his unwavering determination to persevere throughout his recovery. He believes it’s his duty not to squander the second chance he’s been given but to contribute to his family, friends, and everyone who has supported him in this journey.
In January, Renner’s representatives confirmed that he was in “critical but stable condition” following the snowplow accident. They revealed that he had suffered injuries in a weather-related incident while plowing snow, and he was receiving excellent care with his family by his side.
Since the accident, Renner has been open about his path to recovery. In a recent interview with CNN, he spoke about streamlining his life, eliminating unnecessary distractions, and focusing on what truly matters. He described his life as “lean” and emphasized the beauty of having such clarity.
Notably, Renner also revealed plans for a collection of music that would encapsulate the various milestones in his recovery journey back in October.
Despite his challenging journey, Renner hasn’t lost his sense of humor and fun. He delighted fans by donning a giant sloth costume for Halloween at the end of last month, sharing the amusing moment with his 10-year-old daughter Ava Berlin, whom he shares with his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco. In an Instagram video, he humorously referred to himself as “D-D-D-DJ Sloth!”
