Mark Sheppard, renowned for his role as “Crowley” on Supernatural, took to Instagram on Saturday to share a harrowing revelation of surviving six heart attacks. The 59-year-old actor recounted a terrifying incident when he collapsed in his kitchen on his way to an appointment.
In his Instagram post, Sheppard detailed the gravity of the situation, disclosing that he had experienced “six massive heart attacks” and had been revived from death four times. The shocking revelation unfolded as he discovered a 100% blockage in his left anterior descending artery, a condition known as “The Widowmaker.”
Expressing gratitude, Sheppard acknowledged the crucial role played by his wife, the Los Angeles Fire Department at Mullholland, and the remarkable staff at Providence, California, St Joseph’s. He credited them for his survival, emphasizing that his chances of making it through were almost non-existent.
Despite the severity of the health scare, Sheppard conveyed optimism and resilience. “I feel great. Humbled once more,” he wrote, concluding with the anticipation of returning home the next day and expressing gratitude to the #spnfamily.
Misha Collins, Sheppard’s co-star who portrayed Castiel on the CW series Supernatural, responded with a mix of concern and humor in the comments section. Collins urged Sheppard to prioritize his health, affectionately advising him to “stop with this, heal up, and get back on the road with us.”
In the face of this life-threatening ordeal, Sheppard’s positive outlook and the supportive messages from his castmates highlight the strength of the Supernatural family, both on and off-screen.
