Neel Nanda, a talented stand-up comedian known for his appearances on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and Comedy Central, has passed away at the age of 32. The sad news was confirmed by his manager, Greg Weiss, in an email to USA TODAY on Sunday.
Expressing his grief, Weiss stated, “My client of over 11 years has passed. Neel was not only a great comic but also a good friend and a fantastic human being.” The specific date and cause of Nanda’s death are not immediately available.

Nanda made his debut on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in 2017 with a memorable five-minute on-air set. His comedic talent was showcased on Comedy Central multiple times, with appearances on shows like “Adam Devine’s House Party” and, most recently, “Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents” in January.
Apart from his stand-up career, Nanda was involved in the production of the internet comedy horror series “Garland: Anthology.” He also featured in the Snapchat original series “Apocalypse Goals” in 2020 and played a role in the 2019 comedy horror film “Deep Murder.”
Originally hailing from Atlanta, Nanda kick-started his stand-up journey before relocating to Los Angeles in 2013. Over the years, he graced various networks, including Comedy Central, MTV, Viceland, IFC, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. His Los Angeles show, “Unnecessary Evil,” earned recognition as one of LA Weekly’s top 10 stand-up shows.
Recently, Nanda had two shows scheduled in Toronto around his birthday earlier this month, as mentioned on his website. The Baltimore comedy club, The Port, paid tribute to the late comedian in an Instagram post, describing him as a “comedy great” and expressing shock at the news. Fellow comedian Matt Rife also honored Nanda in a heartfelt post on social media, describing him as “one of the nicest” individuals in the industry.
Neel Nanda’s untimely departure marks a significant loss to the comedy community, and he will be remembered for his positive impact and contributions to the world of humor.
