Nikki Haley is intensifying her criticism of Donald Trump, taking a fresh swipe at the former president by posting a Halloween costume image labeled “Weakest General Election Candidate Ever,” accompanied by a picture of Trump on X (formerly Twitter).
The costume description included references to “$50 million in legal fees,” “terrible poll numbers,” “social media rants,” and “temper tantrums.”
Haley went on to express the belief that Democrats are thrilled about the prospect of facing Trump in the general election, asserting that Trump is the worst candidate they could imagine.

Citing his legal challenges, unfavorable poll ratings, and perceived confusion, she argued that Trump would pave the way for a significant Democratic victory.
The reference to $50 million alludes to recent financial reports revealing that Trump spent approximately $50 million in donor funds on legal expenses in the year 2023.
As the sole remaining serious challenger to Trump in the GOP presidential primary, Haley is facing challenges in gaining momentum after lagging behind Trump in the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary. Her polling numbers in her home state of South Carolina also trail significantly behind Trump.
Responding to Haley’s criticism, the Trump campaign dismissed her comments, with spokesperson Steven Cheung labeling her a “stone cold loser” who is becoming increasingly irrelevant.
Cheung added that as people become more acquainted with Haley and her perceived Democratic connections, they grow to despise her as a fraud.
