Conservative commentator George Conway criticized former President Trump for his alleged behavior toward E. Jean Carroll’s lawyer during the recent defamation trial, labeling him a “pig” and deeming his conduct “appalling.”
Conway, speaking on CNN’s “The Source” with anchor Kaitlan Collins, expressed his dismay, saying, “I mean, it’s just appalling. I mean, he’s a pig, and the fact that he was president of the United States makes it all the more distressing.”
Roberta “Robbie” Kaplan, Carroll’s attorney, recounted a podcast hosted by Conway this week, detailing a moment of heightened emotion from Trump during a deposition at his Mar-a-Lago resort.

According to Kaplan, Trump, upon learning about lunch arrangements for her legal team, reacted by angrily throwing a pile of documents across the table and storming out of the room.
Kaplan mentioned that Trump’s legal team had courteously offered lunch to her team at the resort. She described the incident, stating, “At which point there was a huge pile of documents, exhibits, sitting in front of him, and he took the pile and he just threw it across the table and stormed out of the room.”
Additionally, Kaplan asserted that Trump used a euphemism for the c-word to insult her as the deposition concluded and she left the room. According to her account, after stating that she was done asking questions, Trump reportedly said, “See you next Tuesday,” a phrase that can be interpreted as a shorthand for the c-word.
In response to these allegations, Conway criticized Trump’s behavior, stating, “I wouldn’t even say it was teenage boy-level conduct. It was just utterly, utterly childish.”
The controversy arises in the context of E. Jean Carroll’s defamation trial against Trump, where she accused him of sexually assaulting her in the 1990s. Trump has consistently denied the allegations, and Carroll filed a defamation lawsuit against him in response to his public denials.
The allegations of Trump’s behavior during the deposition add another layer to the legal proceedings, with Kaplan describing the incident as emotionally charged and unprofessional conduct by the former president.
