Elizabeth “Lisa” Lopez-Galvan was a vibrant soul, known for her infectious laughter and her ability to bring joy to those around her. As an office jokester and a passionate music lover, she filled Kansas City with culture through her Tejano songs and DJ work.
Her love for the Kansas City Chiefs was palpable, and she was among the nearly 1 million fans celebrating the team’s historic repeat championship win in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.
Tragically, Lisa lost her life in the shooting that followed the Super Bowl celebration rally. She leaves behind a devastated family, including her husband of 22 years, Mike, and her children, Marc and Adriana. Three other family members, including her son, were also injured in the senseless act of violence.
Lisa was more than a statistic; she was a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her family remembers her as a caring and devoted mother, as well as a leader in her community. Lisa was known for her charitable work, raising money for various events and organizations in the Kansas City area.
