During a fundraiser in the Bay Area today, Joe Biden caught sight of Katie Couric among the attendees and seized the opportunity to share a startling revelation.
“Two of your former colleagues, not at the same network, personally told me if he wins, they will have to leave the country because he’s threatened to put them in jail,” Biden disclosed, as reported by a pool correspondent.
Though he didn’t disclose the identities of these individuals, Biden’s statement was part of a series of remarks aimed at Donald Trump. “He embraces political violence. No president since the Civil War has done that. Embrace it. Encourage it,” Biden emphasized, according to the pool report.
The venue for Biden’s address was the home of Robert Klein, a real estate developer residing in the Los Altos Hills area. This engagement marked the conclusion of a west coast fundraising tour that also included an event at the Los Angeles residence of Haim Saban earlier on Tuesday.
Known for occasionally offering more candid remarks to donors, Biden didn’t hold back on Wednesday when he referred to Russian President Vladimir Putin as a “crazy SOB.”
As the November general election approaches, Biden has increasingly positioned himself in contrast to Trump, whom he is likely to face in a rematch.
“I’m not the gift of all presidents, but I’m sure as hell better than the last guy,” Biden asserted, according to the pool report.
