The comedic portrayal highlighted the senators’ apparent contradictions in endorsing Trump despite his actions and remarks against them.
For instance, the fictional Rubio expressed confusion about the direction of the Republican Party under Trump’s influence, while the fictional Risch acknowledged Trump’s disregard for American security but still endorsed him wholeheartedly.

In reality, Risch, who serves as the top Republican on the Senate’s Foreign Relations Committee, has advocated for increased U.S. aid to Ukraine, emphasizing its importance for American security.
The sketch also touched on Trump’s past insults and actions towards the senators, such as his sharing of Graham’s phone number in 2015. Despite these incidents, the fictional Graham expressed unwavering support for Trump, likening him to former President Ronald Reagan.

Comedian Shane Gillis, impersonating Trump, humorously claimed that wearing the shoes improved his basketball skills, reflecting Trump’s penchant for self-promotion and exaggeration.
