An arrest warrant has been issued for former GOP Congressional candidate Dan Rodimer in connection with a homicide investigation in Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department announced that Rodimer, 45, is the suspect in a suspicious death that occurred on October 29, 2023, on the Las Vegas Strip, which is now being investigated as a homicide.
Rodimer, an attorney and former professional wrestler, won Nevada’s Republican primary in 2020 for the state’s 3rd Congressional District but lost the general election to Rep. Susie Lee (D-Nev.).

He was endorsed by former President Trump and defeated his nearest primary opponent by more than 15 percentage points. The suspicious death involved 47-year-old Christopher Tapp, who was transported to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office ruled Tapp’s death a homicide due to blunt force trauma to the head. The investigation began after the homicide department was made aware of the circumstances on November 22, 2023.
According to reports, the dispute between Rodimer and Tapp occurred when Tapp offered Rodimer’s stepdaughter cocaine during a party at Resorts World.
Rodimer allegedly threatened Tapp, saying, “if you ever talk to my daughter again, I’ll f—ing kill you.” A witness reported hearing two loud banging noises and seeing Rodimer punch Tapp.
Tapp, an Idaho resident, had spent 21 years in prison after being convicted of the rape and murder of an 18-year-old. He was released in 2017 and exonerated in 2019.
The arrest warrant for Rodimer, dated March 6, 2024, calls for him to be held on a $200,000 bail. Rodimer is reportedly flying into Las Vegas to address the warrant.
