Pro-Trump Host Accidentally Reminds Trump of Election Loss

During an interview at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, former President Trump was asked by Brian Glenn of Right Side Broadcasting Network how it would feel to win the popular vote. Glenn’s question inadvertently reminded Trump of his popular vote losses in the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections.

In 2016, Trump defeated Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in the Electoral College but lost the popular vote by nearly 3 million. He falsely attributed this loss to voter fraud. In 2020, Trump lost the popular vote to President Joe Biden by more than 7 million votes and continues to claim that the election was stolen from him falsely.

Despite Glenn’s question, Trump focused his response on criticizing mail-in voting, claiming without evidence that it is inherently dishonest. Interestingly, Trump himself has voted by mail on multiple occasions.

Later in the interview, Trump reiterated his baseless claims about the 2020 election, stating, “I don’t need votes. We have all the votes we need. We have to stop the cheating.” He also believed that if the election were honest, he would have won the popular vote.

Glenn, who is dating far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, has a history of controversial statements. Last year, he sparked outrage with a comment about liberal women, saying that conservative and Republican people are better-looking, happier, and more joyful while liberal women are “some of the ugliest women” he’s ever seen.

Meanwhile, Greene herself made headlines on the same day as the interview when she was caught on camera telling former BBC journalist Emily Maitlis to “fuck off” after Maitlis asked her about her promotion of conspiracy theories.
