According to a report from the Washington Examiner, some members of the House Freedom Caucus are actively seeking candidates to challenge certain Republican incumbents.
Rep. William Timmons, R-S.C., has become a target of at least five Freedom Caucus members who are supporting Republican candidate Adam Morgan, a state representative from South Carolina, in his challenge against Timmons for his seat.
Freedom Caucus Chairman Bob Good, R-Va., former Caucus Chairman Scott Perry, R-Pa., and Reps. Mary Miller, R-Ill., Andy Harris, R-Md., and Dan Bishop, R-N.C., plan to announce their support for Morgan, as reported by the Examiner.

Morgan, described on his website as “a conservative for Congress,” currently chairs the state Freedom Caucus in South Carolina. He has expressed his commitment to fighting against what he perceives as RINOs (Republicans in Name Only), the left, and lobbyists, stating that these are the types of individuals the Freedom Caucus wants to serve within Washington.
Morgan’s campaign is focused on expanding the influence of the Freedom Caucus in the House, believing that the caucus needs more members and allies. He has received endorsements from Reps. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., and Josh Brecheen, R-Okla., among others.

On the other hand, House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., and Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, are among GOP conference members who support Timmons. Former President Donald Trump has also backed Timmons.
Timmons recently addressed a video from several years ago that was selectively edited and taken out of context, stating that he did not advocate for racial and s*xual quota systems that would violate federal civil rights laws. Morgan, in response, accused Timmons of advocating for racial quotas and criticized him for his alleged leftist views.
In addition to the race involving Timmons, another South Carolina Freedom Caucus member, state Rep. Stewart Jones, vies to replace retiring Rep. Jeff Duncan, R-S.C.
