The George & Barbara Bush Foundation is thrilled to announce that former Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates has been appointed co-chair of the Centennial Campaign alongside Ryan M. Lance, Chairman and CEO of ConocoPhillips.
The Centennial Campaign, a $50 million initiative, aims to expand and enrich the offerings at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum and The Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M University in College Station.

Key objectives of the Centennial Campaign include funding the construction of The Pavilion for the Marine One helicopter and the Union Pacific 4141 Locomotive, complete with an onsite café.
Additionally, the campaign seeks to enhance endowed scholarship and program offerings at The Bush School of Government & Public Service, increase support for the Bush Foundation’s endowment to sustain unique and relevant program offerings, and upgrade technology within the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum.

Secretary Robert M. Gates expressed his enthusiasm for the Centennial Campaign, emphasizing its role in preserving President Bush’s legacy and fostering ongoing learning and inspiration at the Bush School.
He stated, “The Centennial Campaign will help enhance the history of President Bush as well as perpetuate the living legacy through the Bush School. I am honored to help lead this campaign so that future generations can come and learn more about the selfless life of service of our 41st President.”
