Two opposition lawmakers in Serbia held a press conference today, alleging that the country’s government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a land concession without financial compensation in the capital city of Belgrade.

The concession is reportedly for 99 years and is with Kushner Realty LLS, a company associated with Jonathan Kushner, the first cousin of Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of former President Donald Trump. The purpose of the concession is said to be to construct a luxury hotel.

The lawmakers criticized the deal, arguing that it lacks transparency and could result in significant financial losses for the state. They raised concerns about the potential conflicts of interest involved, given the connection between Jonathan Kushner and Jared Kushner, who served as a senior advisor to President Trump.

The lawmakers called for greater oversight and scrutiny of the agreement to ensure that it serves the best interests of the Serbian people.

The government has not yet responded to the allegations, and it remains to be seen how the situation will unfold. However, the press conference has sparked debate and raised questions about the government’s dealings with private entities and the potential influence of individuals with ties to high-profile figures.
