Former Hunter Biden business partner Tony Bobulinski revealed on Wednesday that he had reached out to Democratic lawmaker Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) in October 2020 about his allegations involving then-presidential candidate Joe Biden’s involvement in his son and brother’s business ventures abroad.
During his testimony before the House Oversight Committee, Bobulinski claimed that he had contacted Khanna and urged him to go on CNN and share the allegations with the public.
Khanna initially responded positively, expressing trust in Bobulinski’s integrity. However, Khanna did not address the issue during the proceeding and left before discussing it with Bobulinski.
Bobulinski expressed frustration with Khanna’s response, stating that he had repeatedly contacted Khanna and his staff in 2021 and 2022, offering to provide evidence and cooperate in investigating the matter further.
Khanna’s office responded by stating that while Khanna was courteous to Bobulinski due to his military service, any evidence would need to be reviewed through proper committee procedures.
Bobulinski, a former associate of Hunter Biden and James Biden, had previously made headlines in October 2020 when he alleged that Joe Biden had been dishonest about his involvement in his family’s business dealings.
He claimed firsthand knowledge of Joe Biden’s participation in these ventures and offered to share evidence with US senators and the FBI.
During his testimony, Bobulinski criticized Hunter Biden and James Biden for providing conflicting testimonies about their dealings with CEFC China Energy, which reportedly resulted in significant payments to accounts linked to them.
He accused Joe Biden of being aware of the transactions and enabling them, alleging that the Obama-Biden administration had overlooked concerns about CEFC China Energy’s ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
Bobulinski’s testimony adds to the ongoing scrutiny surrounding the Biden family’s business dealings and their potential implications for national security and government ethics.
