A federal grand jury in Alaska has indicted Kaden Ollila, a 20-year-old from Tacoma, Washington, on charges related to cyberstalking and the distribution of child sexual abuse material. Ollila was taken into custody on March 21, 2024.
Court records reveal that on January 19, 2024, Ollila was accused of disseminating child pornography. On January 24 and 25, he allegedly communicated via a social media platform with messages expressing a desire to commit sexual assault against a victim.
Additionally, on February 4 and 5, Ollila is said to have sent another victim unsolicited sexual images of himself and unsolicited images depicting child sexual abuse through a different social media service.

The charges against Ollila include one count of sexual exploitation of a child for the distribution of child pornography, contravening 18 U.S.C. §§2252A(a)(2)(A) and (b)(1), and two counts of cyberstalking, contravening 18 U.S.C. §§2261A(2)B and 2261(b)5.
Following his arrest, Ollila first appeared in court on March 22 before a U.S. Magistrate Judge at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. He is scheduled to appear before the U.S. District Court in Alaska at a date yet to be determined.
If found guilty, Ollila faces a potential sentence of 5 to 20 years in prison for the child pornography distribution charge and up to 5 years in jail for each cyberstalking charge. A federal district court judge will determine the final sentence, considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other relevant factors.

U.S. Attorney S. Lane Tucker announced the indictment for the District of Alaska and Special Agent in Charge Robert Hammer of the Department of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in the Pacific Northwest Region.
HSI is investigating with support from the Alaska State Troopers, the Nisqually Police Department, the Nisqually Tribal Gaming Agency, and the Washington State Gaming Agency.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about Ollila’s alleged activities or interactions with someone using the name Kaden Ollila, whether in person or online, to contact the HSI tip line. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Will Taylor and Bill Reed are prosecuting the case.
