The impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden seems to be winding down without uncovering any criminal activity, as Republican Congressman Don Bacon of Nebraska revealed.
During an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press, as reported by Rolling Stone, Bacon shared insights from the legal teams working on the investigation, stating they haven’t pinpointed any specific illegal actions by Biden.
During his television appearance, Bacon mentioned that discussions with the investigating committee and its lawyers have not led to identifying a crime that would warrant impeachment, which traditionally requires a “high crime or misdemeanor.”

He highlighted the importance of conducting such investigations transparently, particularly in an election year, aiming to present the facts to the public. Nevertheless, he admitted the investigation had not found any wrongdoing by President Biden.
When pressed about the potential end of the investigation, Bacon expressed uncertainty about the exact timing but suggested the probe was approaching its conclusion.
The Republican-led inquiry into the Bidens’ financial dealings has been under fire, particularly from Democrats who view it as lacking substance. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York criticized it as an overly ambitious search without a clear basis.
