The Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America organization expressed disappointment with former President Donald Trump’s recent comments regarding abortion laws being decided by each state rather than implementing a national ban.
Marjorie Dannenfelser, the president of the organization, criticized Trump for relinquishing the national debate on abortion to Democrats and emphasized the need for national protections for unborn children and their mothers.
Despite their disagreement with Trump’s stance, Dannenfelser reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to defeating President Joe Biden and what they perceive as extreme congressional Democrats who support abortion rights. She underscored the organization’s dedication to advocating for policies that protect lives.
In his video, Trump reiterated his support for allowing states to determine their abortion laws while also expressing support for exceptions in cases of rape and incest and to protect the life of the mother.
He referenced the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which upheld a Mississippi law banning abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy and underscored that the states should decide the issue.
Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, comprising over 1 million pro-life Americans, remains committed to its mission of ending abortion by electing leaders who share their values and advocating for laws aimed at preserving life, with a particular focus on promoting pro-life women leaders.
