The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have successfully intercepted the majority of missiles launched by Iran towards Israeli territory, with the assistance of U.S. forces and regional allies. According to the IDF’s Telegram update, a few missiles managed to strike, causing minor damage to infrastructure at an IDF base in southern Israel.

Iranian state media claimed that missiles successfully hit Ramon air base in southern Israel, with additional strikes on Nevatim air base, which is one of Israel’s largest. However, these reports have not been independently verified.

The attacks, which occurred late Saturday night local time, were part of a continuing assault by Iran. This military action was widely anticipated following Tehran’s explicit threats in response to an alleged Israeli strike earlier this month that killed two high-ranking officials of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The strike on the consulate near the embassy was equated by Iran to an attack on its sovereign territory, prompting vows of retaliation.

The U.S., alongside Jordan’s air force, has collaborated closely with Israel to intercept the aerial attacks. Israel remains on high alert, with its air force, naval units, and the Iron Dome air defense system fully mobilized to respond to the ongoing threat.

The White House had previously projected that the Iranian offensive would persist for several hours, reflecting the intensity of the situation.
