Blumenthal on House Foreign Aid Bill: ‘America Returns to Attack Mode’

Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut praised the bipartisan approval of foreign aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan by the House, emphasizing that the vote sends a powerful message to the world.

During an interview on “Fox News Sunday,” Blumenthal highlighted the importance of the bipartisan support for the foreign aid bill, characterizing it as a demonstration of America’s commitment to defending democracy and supporting its allies.

He referenced remarks made by the foreign minister of Lithuania, who welcomed the United States’ renewed engagement, suggesting that America’s proactive stance is a signal to authoritarian leaders like Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping.

Blumenthal underscored the importance of the aid package, which includes substantial funding for Ukraine, Israel, and global humanitarian efforts, as well as measures to enhance national security, such as a potential ban on the TikTok app.

The senator emphasized America’s capability to produce the necessary weaponry and enforce sanctions against adversaries like Russia, highlighting the country’s strength and ability to provide support to its allies in times of need.
