Despite some commentators advocating for Biden to skip the debates, citing concerns about normalizing Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election, Biden signaled his openness to the idea. However, he emphasized that his decision to debate Trump would hinge on the former president’s behavior.

Trump, on the other hand, has been actively taunting Biden and calling for more debates. Despite not participating in the GOP primary debates for the 2024 election, Trump welcomed Biden’s willingness to debate him and extended invitations for a debate at his upcoming rally in Michigan or at the courthouse in New York City, where Trump is currently on trial.
