This week’s Sunday news shows are expected to focus on the escalating political tension surrounding pro-Palestinian protests on college campuses.

Recent instances of violence at Columbia University and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) have sparked concerns, with the New York Police Department (NYPD) and Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) cracking down on protesters.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) will appear on ABC’s “This Week” to discuss the situation. He has previously claimed that “outside agitators” were involved in the protests, but when pressed for evidence, he stated that there was “clear evidence of training conducted by an outside agitator” who was not a student.

Adams also promised to release a list of those arrested to the school, allowing them to determine how many were actually students.

The Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) college outreach arm has expressed solidarity with the pro-Palestinian campus protests and warned President Biden about growing disillusionment with his handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict. The College Democrats of America stated that the White House’s approach has alienated youth who want to see an end to the war.

Biden campaign co-chair Mitch Landrieu may face questions about this on CNN’s “State of the Union.” South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R-S.D.), a potential vice presidential pick for former President Trump’s 2024 campaign, will appear on CBS’ “Face the Nation” despite backlash for an anecdote about shooting a family dog that she deemed “extremely dangerous.”

In response, a trio of lawmakers has announced the start of a Congressional dog lovers caucus to promote bipartisan cooperation.
