With only six months to go until Election Day on November 5, 2024, the stage is set for a highly anticipated presidential rematch between incumbent President Biden and former President Trump.
The two candidates have been polling neck and neck, indicating a very close race come this fall. According to Decision Desk HQ’s aggregate polling, Trump holds a slim 0.4 percentage point lead over Biden, with Trump polling at 45.6 percent and Biden at 45.2 percent, based on a total of 683 polls.

When independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is included in the polling, Trump’s lead increases to 1.3 percentage points, with Trump at 42.3 percent, Biden at 41 percent, and Kennedy at 8.1 percent. As the campaign season heats up, both candidates are hitting the trail, with Biden set to campaign in Wisconsin and Illinois this week, and Trump having campaigned in Michigan and Wisconsin last week.
However, Trump’s campaign efforts will be temporarily put on hold this week as he faces a third week of testimony in a criminal hush money trial in a New York courthouse. Despite this, Trump remains confident in his chances, and his campaign is pushing forward with full steam ahead.
