Belgian Attack on Israeli Tourist After Removing Anti-Israeli Sticker

Belgian mob breaks Israeli's jaw

The brutal attack on Israeli tourist Amnon Ohana in front of his daughter at a train station in Bruges, Belgium, has sparked outrage and demands for justice.

Ohana, 64, was assaulted by a group of about 10 aggressors after he removed an anti-Israel sticker from a wall. The altercation, captured on video by his daughter, shows one assailant punching Ohana in the ribcage, pushing him to the floor, and continuing to assault him as bystanders look on.

Ohana sustained a fractured jaw and multiple contusions, as confirmed by his discharge letter from Oostende hospital. The Israeli embassy in Belgium has filed a complaint, urging authorities to arrest and prosecute the suspect.

Israeli Beaten in Belgium for Removing Anti-israel Sticker

Israeli Ambassador to Belgium Idit Rosenzweig-Abu has been in contact with Ohana and his daughter, emphasizing the need for authorities to denounce such violence and take decisive action against the perpetrators.

Rabbi Menachem Margolin of the European Jewish Association condemned the assault, warning that it represents a dangerous escalation of antisemitic violence. He called for the suspects to be arrested, charged with antisemitic hate crimes, and punished accordingly.

The incident occurred in the middle of rising antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiments across Europe and globally, fueled by the conflict in Gaza. However, it’s crucial to note that the description of the Gaza conflict in the provided article contains inaccuracies and misrepresentations of the events. It’s important to rely on verified and objective sources for accurate information about the situation in the region.
