This year has been nothing but a roller coaster ride, which has impacted the entertainment industry. Various shows got shut down in the 2020 early season, and many others’ production was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic. There were even a bunch of shows that were supposed to get renewed but ended up being canceled. But still, there were several project announcements, and we already have a big list of releases around 2021-2022. Hopefully, the upcoming years would be full of blockbuster shows and movies, be it a theatrical release or online streaming. But one thing that drew our attention is ‘Locke & Key Season 3’. The show has been officially renewed for a third season on Netflix before its second season has premiered on the streaming platform.

Netflix has confirmed that Locke & Key’s second season is expected to arrive by mid-2021. The series is based on a comic book series by Joe Hill and Gabrielle Rodriguez. The series follows the life and of three siblings and the enigma surrounding their life.
After the father of ‘Locke siblings’ is murdered under mysterious circumstances, they, with their mother, move into their ancestral home, known as the Keyhouse. The show, Meredith Averill, said that he is incredibly grateful to have found a home at Netflix, where he feels constantly supported, challenged, and inspired. He is looking forward to continuing and expand their relationship. Carlton Cuse, the show’s co-showrunner, said that the team of Locke and Key has incredible adventures in store for season 3.
