Stacy Lee Drake, 50, was apprehended Thursday morning after a nearly two-day manhunt. He was captured around 10 a.m. in a wooded area in Morrilton, Arkansas, without incident, as reported by the Arkansas State Police. Drake had been the subject of an intensive search following his alleged involvement in three murders in Oklahoma, linked to two separate carjackings.

Drake faced multiple felony warrants from various jurisdictions, including charges of aggravated robbery, carjacking, and murder. The coordinated effort to locate and arrest him involved several law enforcement agencies, including the Morrilton Police Department, Arkansas State Police, Conway County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas National Guard, and Arkansas Division of Community Correction.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation provided additional information regarding two of the murders, which occurred in Sequoyah County. Officers discovered a man and woman dead inside a business on Tuesday, though their identities were not immediately released.

The medical examiner has yet to determine the exact causes of death, but Oklahoma investigators noted that both victims had injuries consistent with homicide.

Drake was last seen on foot outside a motel in Morrilton, Arkansas, after allegedly stealing a car that was later found in Morrilton. This location is about 53 miles northwest of Little Rock and approximately 130 miles east of the murder scene in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, where the bodies were found Tuesday night.
