Early Sunday, a shooting at a Colorado hotel resulted in one fatality and two injuries. The incident prompted an extensive manhunt for the suspect, Henry Corral. Alamosa authorities announced Corral’s capture later that evening via Facebook.
The shooting occurred at the Sunset Inn Hotel, where police responded to reports of gunfire around 2 a.m. Three victims were found at the scene, two of whom were critically injured and airlifted to a hospital. Unfortunately, the third victim succumbed to their injuries.
Following the shooting, Corral attempted to escape by car but crashed. After the crash, he unsuccessfully tried to carjack another vehicle before fleeing on foot. Authorities deemed him armed and dangerous, intensifying the urgency of the search.

Corral faced multiple charges, including two counts of attempted first-degree murder, one count of first-degree murder, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, and attempted aggravated robbery. The incident took place in Alamosa, a small city in southern Colorado near the New Mexico border and southwest of Colorado Springs.
