Meghan Markle has completed filming her new Netflix show, which is centered around cooking and wellness. Details about the show remain limited, but sources indicate that filming went smoothly. This show is part of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s broader deal with Netflix under their Archewell Productions company. Additionally, they have another nonfiction project focused on polo.
Filming locations included a park in Beverly Hills and a residential property near their Montecito home, rented by Netflix for the production.
In a TikTok video, Meghan was seen filming in Beverly Hills, accompanied by her entourage. The show, which celebrates cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship, was filmed close to Meghan and Harry’s $14 million Montecito residence.
A source confirmed the rental of a nearby house for filming purposes, indicating the couple’s active involvement in the production. The Post has reached out to Markle’s representatives for further comments on the project.
The show is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Meghan Markle herself and is expected to tie into Markle’s new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. This brand will offer products like jam, tableware, drinkware, and dog biscuits.
The series aligns with Markle’s recent statement about celebrating the joys of cooking and gardening, as well as friendship. The show’s anticipated release adds to the couple’s expanding portfolio of media projects under their Netflix deal.
Netflix’s chief content officer, Bela Bajaria, shared that Harry and Meghan have several unscripted projects and a scripted series in early development under their estimated $100 million deal with the platform. This includes a movie and a TV show alongside the current projects.
The couple’s previous documentary series, “Harry & Meghan,” released in December 2022, was a significant success and provided an intimate look into their lives after stepping down from royal duties.
Following the success of “Harry & Meghan,” the couple released “Live To Lead,” a docuseries featuring prominent figures like Jacinda Ardern and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. In August 2023, they released “Heart of Invictus,” documenting athletes preparing for the Invictus Games.
Archewell is adapting Carley Fortune’s romance novel “Meet Me at the Lake” for Netflix, showcasing their ongoing collaboration with the streaming giant and expanding their influence in the entertainment industry.
