A deadly stabbing occurred on the Upper East Side on Sunday afternoon, leaving one man dead and another seriously injured after an argument escalated. Police were called to 232 East 95th Street at around 1:30 p.m. to respond to reports of an assault and found a bloody scene.
The deceased man, who has not yet been identified, suffered severe trauma to his chest and neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers. The cause of death is still under investigation by the Office of Chief Medical Examiner.
The second man involved, a 27-year-old, was also found at the scene with multiple lacerations on his body. He was taken to New York Cornell Medical Hospital and remains in serious but stable condition. Police recovered two knives from the scene, but the details of how the altercation unfolded remain unclear.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities have yet to determine who initiated the fight or any further details about the argument that led to the fatal incident.
