The first Asian artist to achieve 5 billion Spotify streams was BTS. On YouTube, BTS has gotten over 9 billion views. 20.7 million people follow BTS on Twitter. BTS was listed as one of Korea’s most prominent celebrities by Forbes Korea. One of the highest-paid superstars in the world, BTS was placed 43rd in the 2019 Forbes Celebrity 100.

Each BTS member is so talented and hardworking toward their career. Be it their singing, dancing, or rapping skills, and each member is hitting records each year. On October 28, 2022, South Korean artist Jin of BTS released “The Astronaut” as his first solo single, a collaboration with Coldplay.
The K-pop boyband collaborated with Coldplay once before, in 2021, with the song “My Universe,” and this time, it’s for the song “The Astronaut,” which was co-written by both Jin and the British band.
Jin hangs out in the suburbs with two youngsters while teaching one how to ride a bike and taking pictures with the other in the music video for “The Astronaut.” But he comes to a huge spacecraft that launches him into space.

According to a statement from his agency, Big Hit Music, on Saturday cited information from the local market tracker Hanteo Chart, BTS member Jin sold 700,754 copies of “The Astronaut” on the day it was released.
The only albums by solo artists with better first-day sales in Hanteo history were “IM HERO” by Lim Young Woong and “Bambi” by EXO’s Baekhyun, but now it’s Jin’s “The Astronaut,” respectively. Additionally, with strong physical sales, “The Astronaut” hit the top of the iTunes rankings worldwide the moment it was released on Friday. Statistics show that The Astronaut was the number-one song on the iTunes Top Songs Chart in at least 97 nations, including the US, the UK, Germany, France, and Canada. Before joining the military, BTS member Jin gave his fans an emotional gift by releasing the popular song.

The ARMYs (BTS Fandom) was extremely supportive of their song video. Over 15.3 million people watched The Astronaut in the first 20 hours of its release. The song has a lovely tune and provides a way for them to reflect on love and the people who are important to them. In the video, BTS’s Jin plays an exotic creature that slowly adjusts to and accepts his new surroundings while promoting love, trust, and happiness.

Also, according to a Big Hit Music release on October 17, Jin will be the first member of BTS to register for required military service after completing promotional activities for “The Astronaut.”

He has collaborated with BTS on three solo songs, “Awake,” “Epiphany,” and “Moon,” and all these songs have achieved success on the Gaon Digital Chart in South Korea.
