The voice’s season 22 Instant Save winner from last week was Kique. However, he was unable to attend Monday’s live Top 10 program. In the pre-recorded package, the 19-year-old Miami native and his coach Gwen Stefani were practicing for their big live show moment.

However, when it was time for Kique to perform The Weekend’s “Call Out My Name,” host Carson Daly informed the audience that “Unfortunately, Kique could not be together with us in person tonight.” However, there is good news: His performance was taped beforehand at a different venue, and you may still cast your vote for him, Carson said.

John Legend gushed about how much he loved the singer’s deep tone during the green-screened performance, which nonetheless highlighted Kique’s strong voice and won him accolades from the judges.” Every time you write a song, you’re so brave, yet you make them so distinctively you, and it succeeds every time,” he added. It is incredibly beautiful.

I’m so thrilled to be your coach, Gwen said in agreement. Kique then appeared on the live program digitally, informing Carson, “I’m not feeling too great, buddy. Unfortunately, I came back positive for COVID. But I’m thrilled that I can still be a part of this and that the United States can still vote!” Kique eventually joined later the live broadcast physically, saying, “You are absolutely amazing. That was a fantastic performance… I’m praying for you as well as voting for you!”

Kique once more participated remotely in the results show on Tuesday and spoke candidly about how the difficulties of doing so have honed his craft. This week’s obstacles, he told Carson, “were clearly amazing, and it reminded me that when you’re depressed, you have to work extra hard.” “I demonstrated that with the Instant Conserve last week, I demonstrated that this week, and I will demonstrate that next week.”

Additionally, he was chosen as an Instant Save for the second time in a row and moved his coach to tears with a powerful pre-recorded rendition of Leon Bridges’ “River.” Gwen exclaimed, calling Kique one of the most brilliant singers she’s ever seen, “It’s strange because this program has so many talented people all the time, every season, but it’s really rare to come across an artist who is so young and who is honestly so unique in his manner of singing.”

Although he has a technically sound voice, he is nonetheless very recognized. Gwen assured Kique that his future was bright even though he ultimately lost his second Immediate Save and would not advance to the season 22 semifinals.

“He’s most likely the first musician I’ve ever been completely blown away by. I’ve just recently come to trust him,” She gushed. He will approach whatever he decides to pursue with a vision. Kique admitted in an interview with Parade that she was under a lot of stress because she filmed it on a Sunday and didn’t have much leisure as she had hoped. “I was unsure of the location when I arrived at the studio because there was no one else there save me, the cameras, and the lighting. It was incredibly strange and unique.

At the end of the day, I’m truly thankful to NBC that I was able to still sing even with COVID, he said. “I think I definitely didn’t elicit the excitement from the audience that you desire,” he continued. “They went above and above. They exerted every effort within their power to ensure that I gave my finest presentation. Kique claims he’s pleased with the song’s outcome despite the peculiar situation surrounding the concert.

Clearly, the circumstances weren’t ideal for what I needed to achieve, but I’m satisfied with my performance, “he stated. “I sort of made everything public. It was a lively tune. I believe that while maintaining its playful nature, I also infused it with all of the quirky Kique-isms that give my music its unique character. The fact that I’m still alive makes me content and grateful at the completion of the day.
