At first, Ogami attempts to keep a distance from his new classmates, relying on his usual tough-guy persona. However, middle school proves to be a far cry from the world of crime and survival he is familiar with.
It’s not just about staying alive—Ogami soon learns that he must also learn to fit in, build friendships, and avoid the kinds of trouble he has spent his entire career trying to stay away from.
The school presents numerous challenges that Ogami never expected. From dealing with bullies who show no fear of him to trying to understand the social dynamics of a group of children who know nothing of his dangerous past, Ogami finds himself in situations where the skills he learned as a hitman offer no help.
