Tatsuhiko once harbored dreams of becoming an animator, spending his childhood immersed in sketching and creating stories.
However, his passion was crushed by the relentless teasing of his classmates, leading him to abandon his dream. Instead, he sought comfort in music and joined his friends to form a band.
For a while, music became his new purpose. But when the band eventually broke up, Tatsuhiko grew disillusioned, convincing himself that pursuing dreams was ultimately futile.
One evening, while dismissing a friend’s ambitions with mockery, Tatsuhiko had an unexpected encounter. A drunken woman overheard his harsh words and confronted him on the street.
She angrily challenged his defeatist attitude, calling him out for his negativity. Her words stuck with him, stirring feelings he thought he had long buried.
Disturbed by the encounter, Tatsuhiko decided to revisit his childhood passion. With a mix of nervousness and determination, he created a short, two-minute animation and uploaded it online.
To his surprise, the video garnered attention, and he was contacted by Nico, an independent artist whose work he had admired for years. Nico expressed interest in collaborating with him on an animated music video for her latest song.
Beat & Motion Plot
Excited yet anxious, Tatsuhiko agreed to meet Nico. When they finally met, he was stunned to discover that she was the very same woman who had scolded him that night.
However, she didn’t seem to remember their encounter, and Tatsuhiko, awkwardly, chose not to bring it up. Instead, they focused on their collaboration.

Through their collaboration, Tatsuhiko gradually shed his cynicism, rediscovering the joy and fulfillment he thought he had lost.
With Nico’s support, he came to realize that chasing a dream, no matter how challenging, was worth every hardship. Together, they created something special, reigniting not just their passions but also a renewed belief in the power of dreams.
