Emphasizing Her Prosecutorial Background Is Not Risky for Harris, According to Warren – The Artistree

Vice President Harris leaning into her prosecutorial background for her campaign against former President Trump is not a risk, according to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.).

Harris and her supporters have emphasized her prosecutorial experience and tenure as California’s attorney general, highlighting the contrast with Trump, who was convicted of criminal charges in New York earlier this year and faces various legal issues. When asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper if this strategy posed any risk, Warren dismissed the idea.

“Not at all. Kamala started her career as a prosecutor, diligently working to put away gang members and protect Californians. But consider the progress made by the Biden-Harris administration,” Warren stated on Sunday.

“In their tenure, resources for first responders have been increased. Both police officers and social workers or public health officials now respond to 911 calls, addressing different crises appropriately,” she continued.

Since Harris launched her presidential campaign last week, Republicans have been exploring various attack strategies. President Biden recently announced his withdrawal from the race, endorsing Harris for the ticket.

A pro-Trump super PAC plans to invest millions in attack ads against Harris, with one ad focusing on her time as a prosecutor in California, according to Politico.
