Former President Donald Trump has issued a bold challenge to former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, asserting that she would be unable to withstand a debate with him for more than five minutes. This challenge comes despite escalating tensions and mutual antagonism between the two political figures.

She’s saying he doesn’t have what it takes,” Trump wrote. “Really? I’d love to debate her about what the Radical Left Democrats have done to ruin our Country. She wouldn’t last 5 minutes!”
Earlier that day, Trump had taken to the same platform to mock Pelosi’s efforts to bolster Biden’s image. “Crazy Nancy Pelosi is more of a cognitive mess than Sleepy Crooked Joe. She also suffers from a terminal case of TDS, Trump Derangement Syndrome,” he stated.
The longstanding feud between Trump and Pelosi has been marked by dramatic confrontations, including Pelosi’s memorable act of tearing up Trump’s State of the Union address in 2020.
As Speaker of the House, Pelosi presided over both of Trump’s impeachment proceedings and has frequently voiced her concerns about the potential dangers of a second Trump presidency.
“She is a total nut job, who impeached me TWICE, and lost. Now I see her going around, barely, and saying that I am a threat to Democracy,” Trump continued in his post.
“No, this is just Radical Left Democrat Disinformation, which is all that they’re good at. She’s trying to convince anyone that will listen that Crooked Joe is a mental giant, and in great form, which everyone knows, he is not.”
The backdrop to Trump’s latest attacks is a turbulent period for President Biden, who is facing increasing pressure to withdraw from the 2024 race following a lackluster debate performance. Biden has remained steadfast in his decision to stay in the race, despite calls from within his party to reconsider.
Pelosi has expressed her support for Biden’s autonomy in making his decision. Speaking on MSNBC, she stated, “It’s up to the president to decide if he is going to run. We’re all encouraging him to make that decision. Because time is running short.”
Pelosi added, “But he’s beloved, he is respected and people want him to make that decision, not me.”
