During a press conference in Florida, former President Donald J. Trump asserted that a coalition of Democrats, including Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Kamala Harris, had conspired to strip the presidency from Joe Biden. Trump expressed deep concern over the situation, portraying himself as genuinely troubled by Biden’s recent difficulties.
“The presidency was taken from Joe Biden,” Trump declared at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Fla. “Although I’m not particularly fond of him, as you might have noticed, he faced a challenging debate. However, that shouldn’t justify taking his position away so abruptly.”
It has been 18 days since Biden was reportedly ousted by his own party, and Trump has yet to move past it. He lamented the betrayal Biden faced, attributing the orchestrated plot to Obama, Pelosi, and particularly, Vice President Kamala Harris.
Trump recounted Harris’s critical stance toward Biden during the 2019 Democratic primary debates, labeling her attacks as harsh and accusing her of working against Biden. He criticized Biden’s decision to select Harris as his running mate, suggesting that it was a mistake that Biden now regrets.
Trump’s commentary lacked his usual spiteful tone as he detailed the ongoing turmoil. He told reporters that while Biden is attempting to maintain a positive image, his departure from the race remains “severe” and “horrible.”
