Former Vice President Mike Pence announced on Friday that he will not be participating in or endorsing the presidential race this November. Speaking at “The Gathering,” an event hosted by conservative radio personality Erick Erickson, Pence voiced his concerns about the direction of the Republican Party while also criticizing the Democratic agenda.
Pence explained his decision, stating, “I cannot support the growing abandonment of our allies on the global stage that has emerged within parts of our party.” He also expressed disapproval of the disregard for the national debt, which recently surpassed $35 trillion, and the marginalization of pro-life values within the party’s platform.

He further criticized former President Trump for suggesting he should have overturned the 2020 election results on January 6, 2021, an event that led to the Capitol riot.
Pence clarified that he is not supporting Vice President Harris or the Democratic campaign. He emphasized the need for Republicans to hold Democrats accountable and inform the public about their policies.
Despite running an unsuccessful GOP primary campaign, Pence has previously stated he would not endorse Trump. Some anti-Trump Republicans have proposed that he should support the Democratic ticket. However, Pence’s advocacy group plans to invest $20 million this year to promote a conservative agenda, countering what he sees as populism detached from conservative principles.
This investment aims to support candidates who advocate for traditional conservative values, including a strong military and limited government, and to advance conservative legislation like the Trump-era tax cuts.
