At a rally in Montana on Friday evening, former President Trump launched an attack on Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, labeling the Democratic vice-presidential candidate as “freakish.” Speaking in Bozeman, Montana, just hours after a mechanical issue forced a diversion of his plane, Trump doubled down on his critique, repeating the word “freakish” to describe Walz.
Trump warned that a victory for Walz and Vice President Harris in November would be celebrated by what he described as “pink-haired Marxists, looters, perverts, flag-burners, Hamas supporters, drug dealers, gun grabbers, and human traffickers,” which drew a mix of cheers and laughter from his audience.

This sharp critique followed Harris’s announcement earlier in the week that she had chosen Walz as her running mate, a decision that had been the subject of much speculation. Since joining the race last month after President Biden withdrew his candidacy, Harris has been rallying support from key Democratic figures.
The Harris-Walz campaign has taken a bold stance by calling Trump and his running mate, Senator JD Vance, “weird.” Trump responded by flipping the term back onto his opponents, rejecting the label and defending his and Vance’s character as “solid.”
At a recent Philadelphia rally, Walz didn’t hold back either, describing Trump and Vance as “creepy” and “weird as hell.” He also cautioned that a Trump return to the White House would lead to a situation “much worse” than before.
The Democratic Party has broadly welcomed the Harris-Walz ticket, with support from figures across its ideological spectrum, including endorsements from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Michael Bennet, who praised Walz’s efforts to combat child poverty.
