The clip, posted on Truth Social and X, features a computer-generated Biden delivering a line about a turkey, saying, “If this turkey tastes half as good as it looks, I think we’re all in for a very good treat.” The scene then reveals as a parody of the turkey-cutting moment from “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.”
Trump’s Thanksgiving message combines humor and fiery rhetoric
In the video, a digital version of Biden is joined by Democratic leaders, including Jill Biden, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff, Kamala Harris, and Nancy Pelosi, as he prepares to carve the turkey. Chaos ensues when a Trump figure emerges from inside the bird and begins dancing to the Village People’s “Y.M.C.A.,” a song often played at Trump’s campaign rallies.
Other Democrats, such as Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, are briefly shown reacting to the spectacle, their expressions frozen in shock as the former president grooves to the music. The origins of the video remain unclear, though it had circulated online before being shared by Trump.
Earlier in the day, Trump delivered a fiery Thanksgiving message on Truth Social, which many supporters praised as reminiscent of his trademark “mean tweets.” In the post, he wished a sarcastic “Happy Thanksgiving” to the “Radical Left Lunatics,” accusing them of trying and failing to undermine the country. He credited the recent election results as a win for his agenda and reaffirmed his commitment to making America great again.
Trump has long been at odds with the Democrats featured in the video, many of whom have been vocal critics of his leadership. Meanwhile, Biden, spending the holiday weekend in Nantucket, reflected on the importance of a peaceful transfer of power after this month’s election.
Earlier in November, Biden and Trump met in the Oval Office, where both leaders vowed to ensure a smooth transition as the presidency changes hands.
