Most Anticipated 2013 – Albums: 14-6
by Mike

14. Johnny Marr – The Messenger (February 18th)
Why this man has not released a solo album since The Smiths broke up is beyond me. But better late than never. He has shared the excellent stadium pleaser “The Right Thing Right” which sounds very British and stylized. It’s about time Mr. Marr shows up Grandpa Moz with a solo album of this own.

13. Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds – Push The Sky Away (February 18th)
Compared to The Birthday Party and Grinderman, The Bad Seeds is sad, old man music. This doesn’t make it any less beautiful and compelling in its own way. I wasn’t a huge fan of “We No Who U R,” but it’s Nick Cave so my expectations are still high.
