She graduated with distinction in a bachelor’s degree in marketing and Human Resource management from the Darla Moore School of Business in 2013.
Kryst started competing in pageants as a teenager, winning Miss Freshman at Northwestern High School in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
She competed in the Miss Universe 2019 competition for the United States and placed in the top ten.
In October 2019, Kryst became a New York correspondent for Extra,
as a tv host,she was nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards.
She was a single woman devoted to her media career.
Kryst died in New York City on January 30, 2022, after jumping from The Orion, her 60 story high-rise apartment building in Midtown Manhattan.
